So I took it a step further and created an automated budget spreadsheet in Excel. I’m all for Google Sheets, and Tiller absolutely can work simply using Google Sheets, but Excel is where it’s at if you want a clean and good-looking budget spreadsheet. You can read more about their security and other features of their service on their website. What was even more reassuring to me was hearing that their employees can’t even see your financial data. Tiller has bank-grade security and has partnered with a company that works with some of the biggest banks in North America to ensure it’s up to the same high standards banks are held to. (Don’t worry they have a 60-day money-back guarantee as well). If you’re like me and spend an hour or more getting your data into a uniform format or have avoided budgeting because you don’t want to take the time to mess with your data, $6.58/month is well worth what you are getting in return for Tiller’s service. You can use my link for a free 30 day trial, but after that it’s $6.58/month. They will come through in a uniform format that looks something like this: Once you sign up for Tiller you simply have to connect your accounts and your financial transactions will be dumped into a Google Spreadsheet each day. But they don’t allow you to dump your data into a spreadsheet because they either haven’t built a tool that can do that or they have a huge incentive to not allow their users to dump data into a spreadsheet. Now there are a ton of apps out there that link to your accounts. Tiller is what I have been waiting for: it automates the process of pulling in your financial data into a clean, uniform format. That all changed when I discovered Tiller. Fast forward four years and I still haven’t shared a spreadsheet. I didn’t want to share a budgeting spreadsheet until I solved this key piece of the puzzle. No two financial institutions seem to export data in the same format. I have a number of credit cards due to credit card churning, plus throw in a bank account and you can see why it would take quite a bit of time to reformat everything. The biggest issue with spreadsheet budgeting is getting all the data in the proper format. When I share spreadsheets and tools I want them to be as easy to use as possible. I’ve had the same spreadsheet for over four years now. I’m an Excel nerd so using a spreadsheet to budget was a no-brainer for me. But first let me tell you a bit about the budgeting process I’ve used in the past. Today we finally have a budget spreadsheet in Excel that is automated and easy to update. The more people I talk to about budgeting, the more I hear that people desire a spreadsheet-based budget without all the manual work that comes with it. Many people find them useful, and there’s no denying that there are a ton of good ones out there.īut I personally have used a budget spreadsheet for years and have found it useful. Spreadsheets offer control and flexibility to users, and allows them to look closer at the transactions going through their accounts. There are a ton of budgeting apps out there, but many people end up using some sort of a spreadsheet for their budget. That is why OSHA has created “recommendations,” rather than “regulations” for office temperatures. It is not necessarily possible for each company to adhere exactly to OSHA stipulations. These can lead to serious health problems, like asthma. OSHA has received many complaints about unpleasant odors, humid conditions, or toxic fumes in workspaces. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) or Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) can include: Workers will also be wearing different protective clothing in hospitals, semiconductor factories, and restaurants. Most computers require a lower temperature to work at peak performance. OSHA’s mission is to “assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education, and assistance.” Dusty warehouses, slaughterhouses, computer data centers, and urban offices all have vastly different work environments. Trust that the above-mentioned information would be helpful.“What is the Best Temperature for My Office?” Preventative maintenance programmes for air conditioning systems could proof to be an effective preventative measure as well. Complaints from employees about the air quality. How can we effectively identify and control risk related to indoor air quality? The following factors should be considered: Illnesses are generally related to bacteria and fungi growing in cooling towers or other parts of the air-conditioning system. Pollutants in our indoor environment can increase the risk of illness. Substandard air conditioning may lead to poor indoor air quality and irritable and potentially very sick workers. Indoor air quality is an important concern to most businesses because it can negatively impact on the health, comfort, well being, and productivity of employees. The quality of the air many employees breathe at work will largely dependent on the operation of the building’s air conditioning system. Risks associated with air conditioning should thus be identified and reduced as much as possible.įor the matter of our discussion it would be appropriate to look the indoor air quality of the workplace. This includes risks associated with air conditioning systems. The same section stipulates that the employer is duty bound to establish, as far as is reasonably practicable, what hazards to the health or safety of persons are attached to any work which is performed. Section 8 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) stipulates that the employer must provide and maintain, as far as is reasonably practicable, a working environment that is safe and without risk to the health of his employees. If the air conditioning system is not maintained a number of problems, some potentially lethal, can occur. Office workers spend long periods of time indoors in air conditioned buildings. While air conditioning can make workplaces more comfortable it also has risks that should be addressed. In cases where disagreement occurs, it should preferably be governed by a company policy. Hygienists generally recommend that temperatures should preferably be between 21☌ and 26☌. A reasonable temperature for a workplace largely depends on the work activities and the environmental conditions of the workplace. The way people experience temperature depends on a range of factors like clothing, body type, individual preferences and expectations just to mention a few.Ī comfortable or reasonable temperature level would thus be advisable. This is a common issue in almost every workplace with air conditioning units. Some workers complain that the office environment is too hot while others might complain that it is too cold. Most common complaints relating to air conditioning are about comfort. There are two major areas of air conditioning systems that constitute a risk in the workplace: The air conditioning system draws in outside air, filters it, heats, cools or humidifies it, circulates it around the building, then expels a portion of it to the outside environment. It is sometimes referred to as environmental control.Ī building’s air conditioning system could be described as the lungs of the building. These systems could be described as the control of the temperature, humidity and air movement and cleaning of air in confined space. Most organisations aim to maintain a comfortable office environment in summer or winter with air conditioning systems. Managing office temperature By Tinus Boshoff

Her pompadour has a darker green spiral on the front which is turning clockwise (counter-clockwise to the viewer).Ĭybernetics have replaced her eyes and augmented her ears, as well as any surrounding/internal structures necessary to support either. She has curved, black-tipped ears, small black horn stubs on her forehead, and a dark green pompadour shaped like a stick of cassia (or cinnamon). Appearance Ĭassia is a mobian green pronghorn like her sister, who she is slightly shorter than. However, Ian Flynn has confirmed that this backstory is not canon. Additionally, her tonfas would work as spray-like dispensers with cinnamon extract in an aerosol form, allowing her to spray her opponents in battle. As such, her eyes and respiratory system were replaced with cybernetics, giving her super-vision and smell, as well as immunity to toxic gases. Stanley also provided a backstory idea for Cassia, where she had a hypersensitivity disorder that gave her debilitating allergies. One color scheme she was given during the development was based on a young Pronghorn. Ĭassia's initial designs were created by Aleah Baker, which was then elaborated on by Evan Stanley. Eventually, Aleah decided to make Cassia a pronghorn for two reasons: to get neat characteristics (Cassia's horns were made short to showcase she was less mature than Clove) and because pronghorns are fast animals which worked well within the series. Also, early visual concepts had Cassia and Clove in different shades of blue, then yellow and light green respectively, then the dark/light green with the grey and black uniforms. While Cassia's basic personality was down from the start, she was early on nearly a badger. From the story "Consequences", Paul Kaminski wanted more world-building by introducing new Egg Bosses, with a more sympathetic angle being suggested, so Aleah Baker made Cassia and Clove to present the story from sisters' point-of-view to create a new dynamic. One was that Aleah Baker wanted to introduce related sisters to bring more sibling interaction into the series. A couple of reasons were behind Cassia's creation. |
